Vermeer Hydrostatic Trencher T1055 Commander
See R.B. Hinkle’s own Vermeer T1055 Trencher digging a beautiful clean trench in this short video. Owned, maintained and operated by R.B. Hinkle this machine is ideal for underground utility work such as conduit and duct bank installations. This is a much faster method than a hoe-ram backhoe combination. In addition, the trencher can cut through hard rock eliminating the need for dangerous and expensive blasting.
This amazing and accurate machine cuts a clean, flat bottomed trench 3-11.5 feet deep and between 26 – 42 inches wide. Successful trenches reach a minimum of 500 feet per day but can achieve up to 2,000 feet per day depending on the soil conditions. This machine cuts through limestone, clay, granite, shale and sandstone (exception is blue stone). Watch it do some amazing work.
